Blesser or Blessings

My inspiration for today’s post is from a sermon I saw in television today. I felt that I should share this.
The program started with a video clip from real life.
A man named Johnson who gets a very small amount of money from his job, saves some money to give food daily to the people who lives in street. He and his wife wakes up early in the morning to prepare the food. He then goes to the church and after coming back, they will have a family prayer. While watching this video, I was surprised by his dedication to supply food to the poor, even though he was from a poor background.
The person who gave the sermon did not talk about Johnson. He thinks in a different perspective. He asked,” what if Johnson did not supply food for one week? Will people think , maybe he can’t afford, or what a cruel person he is, he forgot us?”
Most probably, they will think like the latter part. This is the same case with the relationship between God and humans. We all pray to receive his blessings like, “God please help me from this debt, please help me to cure this disease, please help me to pass this test, please help me to buy that house” etc. etc.
Even though we have seen many blessings in our life, we usually don’t think about that. We have a habit to focus on our problems. Jesus’ disciples have seen many miracles. Yet they did not show faith in him in some circumstances. Even Peter who was with him most of the time, abandoned him during the time of Jesus’ last days.

We should love the Blesser than his blessings because he loved us and gave his own life for us. Do we like if someone approaches us always only for their benefits? Isn’t it a shame to love the blessings than the loving God?

Love God than His blessings. 🙂

Reader Story: She Looked at Him

Very well written.

The Fickle Heartbeat

she looked at him

Shared by inilluzion.

She looked at the man sleeping beside her. 7 years yet he sometimes felt like a stranger. Sometimes she felt she failed to understand the father of her child.

She looked at him and wandered if she actually loved her. She can not feel him him anymore. Their daughter was the only the thing they both cared about and thought about in the long run. When she wanted to talk, there was always some more priority topic taking over, her in-laws, his work, her work and their daughter. When he showed some interest in her, she was too tired of wanting to be wanted.

They had a few troubles which were not solved, but they just skipped them. Not long enough did they realize that it did not work. She looked at this man and shed a few tears. She looked at her daughter and…

Safe in the arms of our God

Jud 1:24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever.

Everyone will have problems in their lives. Are you feeling that you can’t get out of this problem ever? Just tell God sincerely that you want God to interfere in your life. Give your problems to Him. He will surely help you to find a solution to your problem. Our God always want to see us to be cheerful.

I always wish to stand before him confidently with purity. I used to think before that I am living perfectly, acceptable to the ways of God and used to judge others. I had a feeling that I was perfect. But then God made me realize that  I am almost doing the similar things which I used to judge others.  It is easy to fall into any kind of temptation.  He helped me to avoid falling into disgrace when I called upon Him. And I learned, “Don’t judge others”. 🙂 . I have read it in Bible many times before. But God gave me practical knowledge 😀 .

It is very important to realize that we have an understanding Father in Heaven who is always ready to help us. He will never humiliate you.

If you ever feel that things are going out of your control, go and ask God to help you. He will help you to be blameless in the eyes of others. He is able to keep you from stumbling. He is able to present you faultless. I can tell confidently that God has protected me in every situation. It is not my ability. It was God’s love and mercy. We are preserved in Jesus Christ.

God bless everyone.
